South Lake Tahoe Sees Record Snowfall

South Lake Tahoe, California, has kicked off the new year with incredible snow storms making this winter a ski lover’s dream.    ‘This has been the snowiest January on record for Heavenly Mountain which has received more than 23 feet since January 1st”, according to Stephanie Myers, a spokeswoman for Vail Resorts.  Kirkwood Mountain has received more than 31 feet of Snow and Sierra-at-Tahoe reported 28 feet of snow so far this season.   In the past 7 days, all three mountains have reported more than 94”+ of snow and there are more snowstorms in the forecast.
